I co-created cultural projects such Spot PDZ! from March 2020 to May 2022, worked with WarnerMedia EMEA and other local and global clients, and had close relationships with artists and the creation of cultural projects.
I co-founded Produza! in Porto in 2020 after relocating from Brazil to Portugal. This was meant to be an expansion of my previous Digital Signage activities, which I had previously conducted at Nova Comunicação in Rio de Janeiro for 12 years, with ongoing clients like PUC-Rio, one of the country's major universities.
Project and client management, streaming technology, live editing, marketing (branding, website development and presentations, logos, copywriting, visual and brand language concepts - and the company's authorial projects, such as Spot PDZ!, Roda Marina, and Santa Segunda), and live editing were all things I was in charge of.
The plans have to be modified due to the pandemic that year. We changed our positioning to become a content creator who specializes in live streaming, primarily for music. The video below shows one of the earliest live broadcasts from a gathering of the Batucada Radical, the official group of the parties of So Co do Porto. I served as the technical director for more than 100 YouTube live streams.
With this change and new tools, we established the Live @Produza.pt web stage, later changed to Spot PDZ!, a weekly program featuring well-known local musicians and traveling artists that is still aired live on the business' YouTube account. (see at the company's YouTube channel)
With new projects and customers like Cálem, Câmara de Estarreja, and the Dá Corda Festival, in which we record and broadcast concerts from hotels like Six Senses, Douro Studios 41, and Quinta do Vallado in the northern region, the company successfully gained relevance and confidence for audiovisual productions in music. Not to mention the collaborations that Produza! has forged with various venues and musicians thanks to its online platform, which also serves as the company's primary marketing tool.
Media:
Being involved in local culture and being well-known in local video production led to new business opportunities and contacts, which increased the production of content for domestic and international businesses. In October 2021, I was in charge of negotiations, onboarding, regular meetings, reports, and final deliveries with WarnerMedia EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa), which has an office in London. I was also in charge of certain campaign art direction.
Daily tasks included creating YouTube clips of hundreds of series episodes from networks including Adult Swim, Cartoon Network, Boomerang, and WB, among others.
With timely deliveries, the construction of the layout for a few Instagram pieces also got underway. I was in charge of creating them, and I used a few After Effects interactions.
I also worked at Produza! to help develop the idea of Casa Produza!, which turned into a place for artists and local cultural workers to coexist. Companhia Instrumental, a well-known production and sound engineering firm in the area with more than 15 years of experience, had a studio unit there, and it was used for online festivals and pocket show recordings, primarily for the portfolios of several artists. This collaboration benefited both businesses as well as the local culture, which gained a comfortable, one-stop location where the artist could leave with his album recorded in the studio, images captured for social media, clips, and a place to exchange ideas and collaborate on career growth, as well as recording courses and internet programs, with all of these benefits. Also, I directed broadcast technology, sound mixing, live video cutting, and commentary at Podzuca.:
//// Here are some of the period's accomplishments:
In collaboration with Radio Pessoas and the collective Mais Cultura, I served as co-director/producer, audio recorder, and videographer for an interview and concert by Brazilian rapper Rincón Sapiência who was visiting Coimbra.
